Who is FIT?

The Finance & Information Technology Division (FIT) oversees the fiscal and information technology interactions of the Clinton County Health Department (CCHD). This is done with the highest degree of accountability regarding taxpayer dollars. The most effective and efficient use of resources, both human and physical is employed. FIT supports the operational integrity of our public health programs and activities.


What Does FIT do?

Finance & Information Technology Division supports the:

  • Framework of the Clinton County Health Department. When money is coming in or going out and technology is being moved, replaced, upgraded, stored, protected, or developed, FIT is there.
  • Transactions in the general ledger system—accounts payable, accounts receivable, actual expenditures and revenues, budgets, cash application and receipts, payroll, and purchasing activities. 
  • Information technology systems, both hardware and software. Information Technology is an integral part of all that we do to organize and communicate information electronically. 

CCHD FIT provides support to management and staff on the accounting and electronic systems. FIT provides this partnership by embracing the 10 Essential Public Health Services; United States of America Federal, New York State & County’s governmental system; and CCHD’s vision, mission, values, & strategic plan.
