Childrens Camps

Clinton County has a number of Children's Camps that operate yearly during the summer ChildrensCampsmonths. Participating in a summer camp can be a very rewarding experience for a child, as they develop new friendships, face new challenges and build valuable life skills.

In New York State, summer camps must have a state, city or county health department permit to operate legally. These permits are issued only if the camp is in compliance with the state's health regulations. The permit to operate must be conspicuously displayed on the premises. The camp must be inspected twice yearly by a Clinton County Health Department representative, once while the camp is in operation, to ensure regulations are being met.
